Our Story
Kanailal Rural Development Foundation is a registered Non-Government Company headquartered at (C/o Kanailal Acharyya, Atghara, Kaiba, Khanakul-1B, Hooghly – 712412, West Bengal) India.
Founded in the year 2025 jointly under the visionary leadership of Mr. Arun Kumar Acharyya and Mrs. Piya Bandyopadhyay Acharyya. Our noble thought for this initiative is deeply rooted in the values of services which are being executed through social empowerment, community development especially.
As a individual social worker till 10 years consistently we are working at the grass-root level towards upliftment of rural communities with a special focus on women empowerment, youth development, and social welfare. Now we are successful and decided to expose our efforts in the society with a formal organisational structure.

Our Ongoing Initiatives:
Women’s Self-Defense Training
We organize structured self-defense programs for women and girls, enabling them to build confidence and ensure personal safety in challenging situations.
Skill Development for Self-Reliance
A range of vocational training programs, including tailoring, handicrafts, beauty services, and entrepreneurship workshops, are offered to women to help them become financially independent.
Music Education
The foundation provides training in classical and modern music forms, including vocal and instrumental, helping nurture artistic talents in rural areas.
Classical Dance Training (Bharatnatyam)
Promoting India’s rich cultural heritage, we offer professional dance training, especially in Bharatnatyam, to girls and young women, encouraging cultural expression and discipline.
Yoga for Students
Certified yoga instructors regularly visit local schools to teach yoga practices that enhance physical fitness, mental focus, and emotional well-being among students.
Mathematics Scholarship Program
To promote academic excellence, scholarships are awarded to students who perform exceptionally well in mathematics, helping reduce dropouts due to financial constraints.
Free Health Check-Ups
Periodic health camps are conducted offering free check-ups and medical guidance for foundation members and underprivileged individuals in surrounding villages.
Advanced First Aid Training
We train community volunteers in modern first aid and emergency response techniques to ensure preparedness during medical or accident-related emergencies.
Disaster Relief and Humanitarian Aid
During floods, storms, or other natural disasters, our volunteers are among the first to respond — conducting rescues, distributing food, clothes, and other essential items.
Tree Plantation and Environmental Awareness
We conduct regular tree plantation drives and awareness campaigns to promote a greener, healthier environment.
Our Vision for the Future:
Kanailal Rural Development Foundation envisions establishing a permanent Ashram along with a Temple — a sanctuary for the poor and needy where they will receive support, guidance, shelter, food, and spiritual solace. The ashram will serve as a center for holistic healing, spiritual development, and social support for the underprivileged.
